Continuing the discussion from Loss of pension:
My understanding is that if her son / your brother ? Receives a Centrelink benefit and has lived in the house for at least 2 years he would be classified as a protected person which means he can stay in house and i don’t think you would then have to sell your mum’s house. It’s probably best you make an appointment with Centrelink and if you can ask if you get in to see an aged care specialist and they would be able to answer all these questions. Or look up the information either on the My Aged Care or the Services Australia websites.
