Hi all,
Does a resident MPIR change when they move room (within the facility) ?
Say there is a resident whom at date entry the MPIR was 6% but then moving room today where the price is higher/lower (voluntery). Do they get the benefit of the current lower MPIR ?

Hi ngocnguyen,
According to the government’s website (see link below) the MPIR that was current on the day the resident agreed to the accommodation payment with the aged care home continues to apply unless the resident subsequently moves rooms within the aged care home.
