Is there an obligation on nursing homes to allow conjugal overnight stays by non-resident spouses? (The question relates to my 50 year old spouse forced into care recently as a consequence of physical disability caused by a stroke).

Thanks for your question. We don’t believe there is a set rule on this, however I’m sure something can be worked out. The best thing to do is to speak to the management team within the aged care home.We hope this helps,
