The ACAT is a very thorough assessment of a persons physical, psychological, social and cultural needs and then provides you with a report as to the services that will best support your care needs.If you are assessed as eligible for a Home Care package then your package provider will organise (in consultation with you) the relevant services you require ie everything from garden maintenance, cleaning through to nursing, personal care and allied health etc.For all the same reasons you also require an ACAT assessment to be eligible to enter a government subsidised residential aged care home.Regar
